Stores are created for you by your Swipe Aras reseller or account manager. Once a store exists, you can manage its configuration from your dashboard.
What Gets Created with a Store
When a store is provisioned:
A Store record is created in the Swipe Aras platform with a unique Store ID
An Adyen Balance Account is created and linked to the store — this is where your funds accumulate
The store is linked to your account's Transfer Instrument for payouts
Configuring a Store
From your dashboard, you can configure the following for each store:
Checkout settings — payment methods, branding, and checkout behavior
Store name and description — used in reporting and API responses
Multiple Stores
If you operate multiple locations or separate sales channels, you can have multiple stores under your account. Each store:
Has its own balance account and transaction history
Can have its own checkout configuration
Reports independently in your dashboard
Adding an Additional MID Under an Existing Account
MIDs are assigned per store, not per account. If you already have an approved legal entity on the platform and later need to accept payments under an additional MID, this is handled by adding a new store to that existing account — it does not require a new application or a new KYC review, since the underlying legal entity has already been verified.
That said, we generally recommend keeping most merchants on a single store unless there's a clear business reason to split — such as a distinct location, brand, or sales channel that needs its own reporting or checkout configuration.
You can add a new store directly from /stores in your dashboard.

This generally does not require a new application or KYC review because the legal entity has already been verified.
We recommend creating a separate store when you need distinct reporting or checkout configuration for a different location, brand, or sales channel.
