A Merchant Category Code (MCC) is a four-digit number assigned to your business that classifies the type of goods or services you sell. Card networks (Visa, Mastercard) use MCCs to determine interchange rates, fraud rules, and compliance thresholds.
Your MCC is set at the account level — all stores under your account share the same MCC.

Your MCC is assigned during account setup based on the nature of your business. If you believe your MCC is incorrect or your business type has changed, contact your account manager.
You cannot change your MCC yourself — it must be updated by Swipe Aras and reflected in Adyen's system.
