Before your account can go live, Swipe Aras and Adyen must verify your business identity. This is a legal requirement for all payment facilitators and is not discretionary.
Swipe Aras operates on the Adyen Balance Platform, which means Adyen underwrites the payment risk for all merchants on our platform. Adyen and financial regulators require that every merchant’s identity is verified before they can accept payments or receive payouts.
Document Type | Details |
|---|---|
Government-issued ID | Passport or driver’s license for the business owner(s) |
Business registration | Articles of incorporation, LLC operating agreement, or equivalent |
Proof of address | Utility bill or bank statement for the business address |
Beneficial ownership | Information on anyone who owns 25%+ of the business |
Bank account details | Routing + account number submitted during hosted onboarding |
Exact requirements may vary based on your business type and jurisdiction.
Once all documents are submitted, verification typically completes in 1–3 business days. You’ll receive a notification when your verification status updates.
If Adyen requires additional documentation, your account will be placed in Under Review status and your account manager will contact you with specific instructions. Do not attempt to submit new documents without guidance — re-submission requires a new hosted onboarding session.
